flax seed foodsCarrington Farm’s cold-pressed organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil is the most nutritious oil and the perfect choice for your health and energy. Coconut oil has been described by nutritionists as “the healthiest oil on earth” and our unrefined organic Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil is simply pressed and bottled so it retains its original nutrient content, flavor and color. But what, exactly, can you do with it?

Well, cook with it, for a start. You can use coconut oil as a healthy and delicious replacement for butter or fat; sauteed vegetables, roast sweet potatoes, add to smoothies or mix into cereal. But as the weather heats up, you can also think about mixing it with yummy berry in DIY popsicle or frozen treat recipes. On the Carrington site, we have a lip smacking strawberry and banana smoothie recipe that is perfect for our coconut oil as well.

But coconut oil is also great for things you would not necessarily associate it with. How about makeup remover? Simply warm about a teaspoon of coconut oil between your finger tips, then massage onto your face to dissolve makeup. You can use coconut oil for skin or as a hair moisturizer, and you can even apply it to bee stings and bug bites to soothe and heal wounds.
